This movie is too often mistaken for a horror film. It is actually brilliant satire. From the Cliff Huxtable references to the gloat of materialism, There is no question we are in the fantasy that's the 1980's. Christian Bale, while he won the Oscar for the movie the Fighter, Is actually in his most memorable role here. (Sorry Batman) The confession scene is not only creepy and tense but it is also downright hilarious! It also happens to be one of the most quoted films I know.
I will now make reservations at Dorcia and order 3 out of 4 squids for this film. That is, of course......Right after I return these video tapes.
